The following report is based on the findings of the Level 5 arborist report who inspected your property on. The report is divided into three sections:
Safety: The safety of the tree and its surrounding environment
Health: The health of the tree, including any potential problems or risks for future harm
Beauty: A description of how the tree contributes to your property’s aesthetics
Level 5 Arborist Reports should include at least one photo, which must be taken from a distance that allows you to see all of the major branches in each section of the tree. If there are any deadwood issues or other visual problems with your selected photo, please take additional photos so that we can accurately assess your findings.
The photo should be clear enough that we can make out any branch structure or defects without having to zoom in on it. A Level 5 Arborist Report should also include a diagram of the site plan with measurements; this will allow us to determine if there are any hazards around/in front of/behind your chosen tree that could affect its future health and viability.
Bushfire planning and survival – an arborist’s view
The recent bushfires in Victoria have been the topic of much discussion, and many people are asking how they can prepare for a similar disaster. As an arborist and bushfire survivor, here are some tips that may help you to prepare for bushfire planning.
The first thing to remember is that your home may not be the safest place to be in a fire. If you’re fortunate enough to live close to a river or creek, it’s worth considering making your home water-tight and flood-resistant (if possible). Water will protect you from radiant heat, which can burn through walls very quickly. It also helps to have non-flammable material between you and the outside of your house (such as concrete).
Things that matter the most
If you don’t live near water, make sure you have a safe place within your house where you can shelter if necessary. This could be an internal room with windows covered by wet blankets or towels. You can also get help from a level 5 arborist to report whether or not it will be safe to be under a nearby shelter.
Be sure to stay away from windows when there is smoke present because it can cause suffocation quickly. Also, make sure any pets or other animals are safely inside before the fire arrives. When it comes time for evacuation, remember that this may mean leaving behind everything. For more information visit our Website.
